Empire Players/Coach of the Month Selectees, December 2007

Coach: Ryan Frew
Team: NH Junior Monarchs
Coach Frew led his team to a 7-0-1 record through the month of December. During that span New Hampshire outscored their opponants 43-11. The Monarchs lead the Northeast Division with a 22-5-1-1 record good for 46 points and third place overall. They will be represented by 5 players and Coach Frew at the Empire All-Star game.

Player: Bryan Soderberg
Position: Defenseman
Team: South Shore Kings
Bryan has shown a solid consistancy thoughout the whole year not only on the def. blueline but as an offensive threat as well. Totals 13 points 4goals and 9assists. He logs major time on the Power Play and Penalty Kill, and leads the team in the +/- category.
Player: Anthony Deangelis
Position: Goalie
Team: Tri-State Selects
In the month of December, Anthony posted a 2.25GAA and a 91.4% save percentage en route to helping us go 3-1-2 in the month. The winning streak moved us into 3rd place in the division and got us back into the playoff hunt. Anthony has been solid all year long for us.

Player: Phil Arnone
Position: Forward
Team: NH Junior Monarchs
Phil Arnone led N.H. in scoring over the month of December with 12 points. Phil played on a line that put up numbers of 18-16-34. More importantly his efforts at both ends of ice insured a +/- effort of +13 for the month. Arnone has 24 points through 27 games and has started to turn into a top player for New Hampshire. Phil has 3 GWG including a dagger vs. Maksymum in the Month of December that sealed N.H.'s 4-2 upset win over one of the top teams in the American Conference.
