Buffalo Stars B team faces off in weekend action

In Empire Junior B league action, the Buffalo Stars look forward to hosting the Conference leading Brewster Bulldogs. With a record of 13-4-0-1 Brewster leads the pack as they have secured some early season wins and shown some offensive prowess in Branden Rosario and Nicholas Belger wiho have 15 points each.  Brewster, with 79 goals has the second most potent offense in the league, second only to the Junior Bruins. However, the Bulldogs have played more games than any team in the league.

The Buffalo Stars with a record of 8-3 sit in 4th place in the Conference. However, the Stars have games in hand over every team above them including a 7 game differential with Brewster.  The Stars have been on a roll of their own of late winning 4 of their last 5 including a huge victory over the Hitmen in New Jersey a couple of weeks ago. The Stars have a balanced offensive attack led by Josh Smith (10 points) and Frankie Buttino, Joey Johnson and Danny Potter (9 each). The Stars are getting solid defensive play and excellent goaltending.  Buffalo will have to fire on all cylinders if they hope to take 4 points from this tough Brewster team.
