In Sunday’s game, Apple Core left Fitchburg in dramatic fashion as they defeated the hometown Huskies 2-1 in overtime. John Kelly scored both goals for Apple Core and Dan Sullivan once again proved why he is the best goaltender in the Empire League as he made 15 saves in the win.

“Both our goaltenders are playing very well and our defense is starting to come together,” said Head Coach Chris Cosentino. “As long as our forwards keep producing offensively, I am expecting a great second half to the season.”
