Tri State defeats Valley Jr Warriors 5-0 and battle back to tie CD Selects 3-3.

Nick Pappas and Erik Poitras led the scoring for Tri State and Anthony Deangelis and Max Palusynski combined on a shutout to carry Tri State to a 5-0 victory today at Cushing Academy. It's back to back wins for Tri State, who defeated Buffalo 5-4 last Sunday afternoon.
Tri State erased a 3-1 deficit late in the second half to tie Capital District and earn 3 out of 4 points on the weekend. The Selects got two goals from Lester Brown and outshot CD 40-17 but went 0 for 9 on the power play including a missed chance in overtime.
The Selects will now head into the Christmas break just 3 points behind the Jersey Wildcats for the sixth and final playoff spot in the Conference.
"It's going to be an exciting last 15 games I can tell you that. We've been playing very good hockey over the last month or so but we still have alot of work ahead of us. We need to play great hockey at home in these last two months and get as many points as we can and hopefully it will be enough. This is a very good hockey team. Now we just need to be consistent with our performance", Head Coach Mike Anderson.
Next up Tri State will host the Syracuse Stars at the Warwick Twin Rinks on Saturday December 29th and Sunday December 30th at 7:00pm and 9:45am.
