The Empire Final Four is Right around the Corner

The last piece of the Empire Final Four puzzle fell into place on Sunday afternoon when Pittsburgh took the 3rd game in the Series 4-1 vs.  Syracuse.

The other 3 Series were decided on Saturday. Boston, New Hampshire and New York each won their series in 2 games.

Friday Night was quite an evening…Syracuse took it to Pittsburgh 5-2 and the other three games were all decided by 1 goal. So no one woke up Saturday morning thinking that it was in the bag.

On Saturday, the eventual winners must have realized what was at stake. The Monarchs won 5-2 over the Huskies, Boston took BayState 5-1 and Pittsburgh doubled up Syracuse 4-2. In what turned out to be the tightest series, Brewster came up one goal short a second time against Divisional rival AppleCore to give New York the nod.

The Empire Final Four will take place in Troy, New York next weekend.
