Empire League - Are you seeing double???

The 2006-07 season of the 21 team Empire League will showcase three sets of twins. Brothers playing on the same team at the same time is unusual; but three sets of twins playing in the same league must be a record.


Capital District have Mike and Chris Larson (7//7/88) suiting up for Jim Salfi's Selects this season. Mike is a forward and Chris is a blueliner.

Green Mountain Glades will have twin forwards Martin and Michael Casey (4/22/88) in uniform beginning with the Glades Fall Classic showcase.

Brewster Bulldogs also have a twin pair of forwards in Justin and Drew Daniels (6/7/88). They will be working hard to move their game to the next level.

While were at it, the Virginia Statesmen don't have twins but they do have brothers on the same team as Pascal and Phil Borner hit the ice in September. Phil is an 88' while big brother Pascal is an 86'.


It is sometimes difficult to follow the puck in hockey. Now in the Empire League it's going to be hard to follow the players. But it sure makes for an exciting season.
